SPI designed and built the interior and exterior graphics for The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen, a whimsical, steampunk-inspired destination where chocolate dreams and kinetic storytelling collide. A full coast-to-coast effort, SPI fabricated and installed graphics for both the Orlando and Hollywood locations, bringing rich Victorian flair and fantastical energy to Universal CityWalk.

The crown jewel of the project is a massive, over 25-foot-tall rotating chocolate gear located at the front entrance. The massive, over 20-foot-tall rotating chocolate gear marquee is prominently visible at the front entrance, immediately capturing attention and setting the tone for the whimsical factory experience inside. The gear is a kinetic spectacle—finished with SPI’s signature scenic paint techniques and topped with a clock face painted in chameleon color-shift hues, giving the illusion of constant motion. This marquee feature sets the tone for the imaginative, factory-like atmosphere before guests even walk through the doors.

SPI’s scope included everything from custom-finished signage to immersive operational graphics, all designed to reinforce the “working chocolate factory” aesthetic. The design features moving gears, glowing signage, and layered materials that immerse guests in a world of chocolate-fueled adventure.

From the spinning gear to the whimsical shopfronts and signage that appear pulled from a golden age of invention, SPI’s work at Toothsome brings fantasy to life—turning every visit into a sweet, story-driven experience that’s anything but ordinary.
